Carlo Meloni
Biography
Dr. Carlo Meloni heads the Functional Department of Cardiological Rehabilitation in the Operative Department of Cardiological Rehabilitation of the IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele, headed by Professor Domenico Cianflone.
After graduating from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Milan in 1986, he specialized in cardiology at the same university in 1990.
Dr. Meloni performs about 1,000 echocardiograms per year, as well as exercise ECG and cardiopulmonary tests. He is responsible for managing patients who have undergone heart surgery, heart attack or heart failure, and is responsible for developing a rehabilitation program in terms of physical activity that should be performed during hospitalization and continued at home. Dr. Meloni is also an expert in the field of diagnostics and therapy in the field of sports cardiology.
As a researcher, he is an expert in the field of prevention and rehabilitation of cardiovascular diseases.
