Biography

Dr. Silvia Proietti is an urologist at the Department of Urology at the IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele under the supervision of Dr. Franco Gaboardi.

Having graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Perugia in 2006, she also majored with honors in urology at the same university in 2012.

She has also received several scholarships abroad: in endourology for the treatment of urinary stones at Hopital Tenon in Paris (France), Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital in Beijing (China) and the University of California (UCSF) in San Francisco (USA); in functional urology at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust in London (UK).

Deputy Director of the "European Training Center for Endourology".

Dr. Proietti's main clinical interests include the most common problems in the field of urology (urinary stones, prostatic hypertrophy, oncology, recurrent cystitis, and prostatitis).

In particular, the doctor developed a particular interest in minimally invasive endourological surgery in the treatment of urinary stones and tumors of the upper urinary tract.

Dr. Proietti is a member of numerous national and international scientific societies; she is also involved in numerous basic and clinical research projects in urinary stones and tumors of the upper urinary tract and is a member of numerous international boards for the development of new tools and technologies in the field of endourology.

He is the author and co-author of more than 100 scientific articles published in international journals and book chapters.

Constantly participates as a speaker in international congresses and conferences in the industry.
