Giorgia De Filippo (Джорджия Де Филиппо)
Биография
Dr. Giorgia De Filippo is a dietitian at the Istituto Clinico Beato Matteo.
After earning her degree in Dietetics from the University of Pavia in 2022, she completed a five-month internship in Madrid, Spain, at the IMDEA Food Research Institute, where she worked as a nutritionist and researcher. During her internship, she focused on epigenetics, the science that studies how factors such as age and environmental exposures, including physical and chemical agents, diet, and physical activity, can alter gene expression without changing the DNA sequence.
Currently, she manages the nutritional care of patients undergoing bariatric surgery, guiding them from the preoperative phase through to postoperative recovery. Her activities include:
- Conducting eligibility assessments for bariatric surgery,
- Providing nutritional follow-up visits post-surgery,
- Offering dietary education for inpatients after bariatric surgery.
