Lilia Bertolani (Лилия Бертолани)

Dr. Lilia Bertolani is a Bariatric Surgeon and the Head of the Bariatric Surgery Unit at the Istituto Clinico Beato Matteo in Vigevano.

She graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 1999 from the University of Milan, where she later specialized in Digestive Surgery and Endoscopic Digestive Surgery.

Among her previous roles, she served as Head of the Bariatric Surgery Department at Policlinico San Pietro in Bergamo from 2013 to 2015, as the Bariatric Surgery Unit Leader at Policlinico San Marco in Zingonia (BG) from 2015 to 2016, and continued in this role until April 2019.

Dr. Bertolani is also responsible for the Bariatric Surgery Unit at Istituto Clinico Beato Matteo in Vigevano (PV), a SI.CO.B center of excellence from 2017 to 2020-2021.

She has trained at the Departement de Chirurgie Clinique de la Sauvegarde in Lyon and the Department of Surgery at the University of Illinois in Chicago.

She is a member of several scientific societies, including the Italian Society of Obesity and Metabolic Diseases (SICOB), and has participated as a speaker and organizer at numerous national and international conferences on Bariatric Surgery and Laparoscopic Bariatric Surgery.
