Mario Gramegna (Марио Граменья)

Dr. Mario Gramegna is a cardiologist at the Cardiac and Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit of IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele in Milan, led by Prof. Alberto Zangrillo. Additionally, he serves as a cardiology consultant for Casa di Cura La Madonnina.

After graduating with honors in Medicine and Surgery from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in 2013, he completed his specialization with honors in Cardiovascular Diseases at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in 2019. During his studies, he completed a training period abroad at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London and Harefield Hospital in the UK.

In his clinical practice, Dr. Gramegna focuses on treating cardiological emergencies, particularly acute myocardial infarction, acute heart failure, and cardiogenic shock. He also provides care to patients requiring mechanical circulatory support (such as intra-aortic balloon pumps and Impella devices) and those with ventricular assist devices (LVADs). He performs outpatient cardiology services, addressing common conditions like hypertension, chronic heart failure, coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, atrial fibrillation, and other cardiac arrhythmias, as well as venous thromboembolism.

Dr. Gramegna also serves as a clinical tutor for medical students at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in Milan and has delivered lectures in the Cardiovascular Disease Specialization program. He is a member of the Young ACVC (Acute CardioVascular Care Association) Community of the European Society of Cardiology.

He has authored and co-authored over 40 publications in national and international scientific journals and contributed to several book chapters. His h-index is 15, and he regularly participates in national and international scientific congresses as a speaker.
