Riccardo Gambaretti (Риккардо Гамбаретти)

Dr. Riccardo Gambaretti is an orthopedic surgeon at the Knee Surgery and Arthroscopic Surgery II Unit at the IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi - Sant’Ambrogio.
He graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 1988 and specialized in Orthopedics and Traumatology in 1993, both with top honors, from the University of Milan.
He gained his initial formative and professional experience at the Orthopedic Clinic of the G. Pini Orthopedic Institute in Milan from 1988 to 1994. Since February 1994, he has been working at the Istituto Ortopedico Galeazzi in Milan. From December 1994 to July 2006, he was an assistant in the Shoulder Surgery I Unit, and since 2006, he has been serving in the Knee Surgery and Arthroscopic Surgery II Unit.
His areas of particular surgical and scientific interest include:
- Orthopedic and Traumatologic Surgery
- Sports Traumatology
- Prosthetic Surgery (shoulder, knee, and hip)
- Minimally Invasive Surgery (shoulder and knee)
He has performed 1,400 surgeries using both arthroscopic and open techniques, as well as numerous other types of interventions on various joints.
He has refined his techniques by participating in numerous international cadaver labs. He is currently invited as a tutor and/or lecturer at shoulder surgery courses and cadaver labs.
Since 1996, he has been a technical consultant for the Milan Court on orthopedic medico-legal cases.
Recently, he has increased his interest in regenerative medicine for both joints and tendons.
He has participated in numerous national and international conferences and courses as a speaker and attendee. He has published numerous articles in national journals and several monographs.
