Alfredo Modafferi (Альфредо Модаффери)

Dr. Alfredo Modafferi is a vascular surgeon at the Vascular Surgery Unit of IRCCS Policlinico San Donato and collaborates with Smart Clinic.

He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Messina in 2005 and completed his specialization in Vascular Surgery with honors at the same university in 2010. He also underwent advanced training abroad at the Vascular Surgery Department of St. Josef Hospital in Bochum, Germany.

Since 2015, he has been a senior physician at the Vascular Surgery Unit of Policlinico San Donato, where he is involved in all aspects of the unit's activities, including the operating room, ward, and outpatient clinics. He is also responsible for the phlebological area.

In addition to his work at Policlinico San Donato, Dr. Modafferi performs specialized consultations and Doppler ultrasound examinations at Smart Clinic in Cesano Boscone.

He has developed particular expertise in diagnostic clinical activities, Doppler ultrasound, and both surgical and endovascular treatments for carotid disease, thoracic and abdominal aortic conditions, peripheral artery diseases, and the creation of arteriovenous fistulas for dialysis. He also specializes in treating venous diseases, varicose veins, and telangiectasias.

Dr. Modafferi is a co-author of numerous scientific articles published in high-impact international journals.
