Dr. Maria Rosa Viganò is a nephrologist at the Nephrology and Dialysis Service of Policlinico San Pietro.
She graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan in 1976 and later specialized in Nephrology and Dialysis in 1981.
Throughout her career, Dr. Viganò has held leadership positions and served as a member of the commission for the competitive evaluation of nephrologists.
In addition to her clinical practice, she has been a lecturer in Nephrology and a tutor for the specialization school at the University of Milan Bicocca.
Dr. Viganò is a proponent of home hemodialysis techniques and promotes the value of living kidney transplantation. She is also a representative for North Italian transplant initiatives.
She has been a speaker at numerous national congresses, and her scientific research activities have led to publications in national and international specialized journals.
