Alessandra Marzi
Biografía
Dr. Alessandra Marzi is a cardiologist specializing in arrhythmology at the Arrhythmology and Cardiac Electrophysiology Unit of IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele, directed by Dr. Paolo Della Bella.
She graduated in Medicine and Surgery from Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele in Milan in 2005 and specialized in Cardiology at the same University in 2009.
In terms of interventions, she has expertise in both cardiostimulation (implantation of defibrillators and endocavitary, leadless, and subcutaneous pacemakers) and electrophysiology (transcatheter ablation of supraventricular cardiac arrhythmias with either conventional or mapping-guided approaches).
She has also gained considerable experience in the extraction of malfunctioning or infected electrocatheters and in the percutaneous closure of the left atrial appendage, a procedure indicated in patients with contraindications to oral anticoagulant therapy.
Dr. Marzi also performs clinical work as a cardiologist, focusing particularly on monitoring implantable devices and diagnosing and treating cardiac rhythm disorders.
In terms of research, she has a particular interest in the percutaneous closure of the left atrial appendage and the management of complications associated with implantable devices.
She is co-author of numerous articles published in national and international journals and has participated as a speaker at several national and international conferences.
