Alessandro Seganti
Biografía
Dr. Alessandro Seganti is a cardiologist and arrhythmologist at the Clinical Electrophysiology and Electrostimulation Center of IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi - Sant'Ambrogio, and he also collaborates with Palazzo della Salute Wellness Clinic in Milan.
He serves as an assistant physician, working in operating rooms, outpatient clinics, and inpatient care.
After graduating with honors in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan in 2017, Dr. Seganti specialized in Cardiovascular Diseases at the University of Pavia in 2022. During his final year of specialization, he trained in the Electrophysiology Department at Policlinico San Matteo.
Following his specialization, he was awarded a research grant focused on the genetic causes of sudden cardiac arrest at the same institution. He continued his clinical and procedural work started during his training at Policlinico San Matteo before assuming his current position at IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi - Sant'Ambrogio in June 2023.
Dr. Seganti's clinical and interventional expertise lies in clinical arrhythmology and cardiac electrophysiology. He performs, as first or second operator, electrophysiological studies and catheter ablations of supraventricular and ventricular arrhythmias using radiofrequency, cryoenergy, and electroporation. He also implants pacemakers, defibrillators (both transvenous and subcutaneous), and cardiac resynchronization therapy devices, as well as loop recorders.
Additionally, he conducts outpatient arrhythmology consultations and pacemaker/defibrillator checks, including through telemedicine. He has a special interest in evaluating and treating genetic heart diseases such as channelopathies and cardiomyopathies.
Dr. Seganti is a co-author of several articles published in international journals and has presented at both national and international congresses.
