Francesca Perticone
Biografía
Dr. Francesca Perticone is an endocrinologist at the Endocrinology Unit directed by Prof. Andrea Giustina. She graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan in 2007, achieving a final score of 110/110 with honors. In 2013, she specialized in Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases at the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University, also with a final score of 70/70 with honors.
Her primary area of interest is thyroid pathology. She serves as the coordinator of the Disease Unit for Thyroid Tumors within the Cancer Center at San Raffaele Hospital. Since 2014, she has been providing specialist services at the multidisciplinary thyroid tumors clinic.
Dr. Perticone is also involved in ultrasound and cytological diagnostics of the neck, including thyroid, parathyroid, and lymph node ultrasound, as well as ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration. She performs minimally invasive interventional procedures for thyroid pathology treatment, such as ultrasound-guided alcoholization and percutaneous thermal ablation, in collaboration with the Radiology Unit.
Additionally, she has been engaged in general endocrinology outpatient activities since 2013 and provides specialized services in gynecological endocrinology clinics.
Dr. Perticone is involved in academic activities as a lecturer and university tutor within the Specialization School of Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University. She is the author of several scientific articles published in national and international journals.
