Biografía

Dr. Gabriele Paglino is the Head of the Electrophysiology Operating Rooms Functional Unit at the Arrhythmology Department of IRCCS San Raffaele Hospital, directed by Dr. Paolo Della Bella.

After graduating with honors in Medicine and Surgery in 1998 from the University of Milan, he specialized with honors in Cardiology at the University of Turin in 2003. Since 2004, he has been employed at San Raffaele Hospital.

He is responsible for the projects and operational aspects of device and lead extractions, as well as the innovative physiological conduction system stimulation for pacemakers and defibrillators, and leadless pacemaker implantation.

Since 2004, he has been the primary operator in catheter ablation procedures using radiofrequency for atrial fibrillation and atrial tachycardia, paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia (PSVT), and Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW) syndrome. He is also skilled in using cryoablation as an alternative to radiofrequency for these arrhythmias.

Since 2010, he has been performing procedures for ventricular arrhythmias, including ventricular ectopic beats and ventricular tachycardia.

He is also involved in the implantation of devices for left atrial appendage closure.

Dr. Paglino serves as a consultant and collaborator in arrhythmology for the Cardiac Surgery Department at San Raffaele Hospital.

He has authored numerous articles published in national and international journals.
