Nikita Tanese

Biografía

Dr. Nikita Tanese is an electrophysiologist and arrhythmologist at the Cardiac Electrophysiology and Arrhythmia Unit of IRCCS San Raffaele Hospital, directed by Dr. Paolo Della Bella. She also collaborates with Smart Clinic.

She graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna in 2016, completing her thesis in cardiology. During her studies, she contributed to research projects and spent some time at Erasme Hospital in Brussels. She specialized in Cardiology at the University of Milan-Bicocca, focusing part of her training on pacing and electrophysiology, and spent her final year of training at Clinique Pasteur in Toulouse, France.

After completing her specialization, she began working as an arrhythmologist at San Raffaele Hospital in Milan.

Clinically, she manages pediatric and adult arrhythmias, including both supraventricular and ventricular arrhythmias, cardiac rhythm disorders, atrial fibrillation, cardiomyopathies, and heart failure. She also oversees outpatient and remote monitoring of implantable devices such as pacemakers, defibrillators, and loop recorders. Additionally, she performs exercise tests, Holter ECG monitoring, and clinical echocardiography.

Dr. Tanese conducts catheter ablations for supraventricular arrhythmias using both traditional techniques and new three-dimensional mapping systems, as well as the implantation of pacemakers, defibrillators, and cardiac resynchronization devices.

She has participated in and continues to engage in various research protocols concerning supraventricular and ventricular arrhythmias, publishing several articles on the subject.

She is a member of the European Heart Rhythm Association (EHRA).
