Erika Pedone

Dr. Erika Pedone is a diabetologist and endocrinologist at the General Medicine Unit with an endocrinology-diabetology focus at IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele in Milan.  

She graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Rome "La Sapienza" in 2015 and specialized in Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in 2020.  

Between 2016 and 2020, during her training, she gained clinical experience across all areas of endocrinology and diabetology, focusing on both outpatient and internal medicine management of endocrine disorders.  

In her clinical practice, Dr. Pedone specializes in Type 1 diabetes, particularly in the use of advanced diabetes technologies, monogenic diabetes (MODY, Wolfram Syndrome), and diabetes in pregnancy. She is also dedicated to the pharmacological management and support of individuals with overweight and obesity.  

Dr. Pedone serves as a sub-investigator in Phase II and III clinical trials and is the author and co-author of several scientific publications featured in national and international journals, with an H-index of 4. She is an active participant in national and international conferences in the field.
