Биография
Dr. Marco Codenotti is an ophthalmologist at the Ophthalmology Unit of IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele, led by Professor Francesco Bandello.
He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Pavia in 1990 and specialized in Ophthalmology at the University of Milan in 1994. In 1996, he participated in the first international telemedicine program at Klinika Za Ocne Bolesti in Sarajevo. He completed internships at Stadtische Kliniken Frankfurt A.M. – Hochst in 1997 and Moorfields Eye Hospital in London in 1998.
Since 2005, Dr. Codenotti has been the head of the Vitreoretinal Surgery Unit at Ospedale San Raffaele. He is also a contract professor at the University Vita-Salute's Medicine and Surgery course and a member of the Italian VitreoRetina Group (GIVRE).
Dr. Codenotti has performed over 14,000 surgical procedures, including anterior and posterior segment surgeries. He was the first Italian surgeon to implant a subretinal prosthesis for advanced hereditary retinal degeneration and personally led the Italian collaboration for retinopathy of prematurity at Royal-Oak Hospital in Detroit (U.S.A.) in 2001.
He has over 40 peer-reviewed publications and regularly participates in major international and national congresses.
