Luca Grancini

Biografie

Dr. Luca Grancini is an interventional cardiologist and head of the Interventional Cardiology Laboratory at the University Cardiology Unit of IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi - Sant’Ambrogio. He also collaborates with the Casa di Cura La Madonnina.

In 1987, he graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan, where he later specialized in Cardiology in 1991.

From 1986 to 1993, Dr. Grancini was an internal medical fellow at the Monzino Cardiology Center in Milan. From late 1993 to September 2022, he worked in the Hemodynamics Department at Monzino, under the direction of Professor Antonio Bartorelli.

Throughout this time, he gained extensive experience in all percutaneous interventional techniques for coronary, peripheral, and structural diseases, becoming an expert in the treatment of complex coronary obstructions, with a particular focus on chronic total occlusions, considered the most challenging coronary blockages to treat percutaneously.

Due to this expertise, since 2013, he has been a full member of the Euro CTO Club and contributed to drafting international scientific guidelines on the topic.

Dr. Grancini has published numerous scientific articles in international and national journals and has revised chapters in recent international textbooks on Interventional Cardiology.

He has also participated as a speaker and/or moderator at numerous national and international Interventional Cardiology Congresses.
