Biografie
Dr. Vito Domenico Bruno is a cardiac surgeon at the Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery Unit of IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi-Sant'Ambrogio.
He graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 2002 from the University of Insubria, where he also specialized in Cardiac Surgery in 2007. At the same university, he obtained a PhD in Surgery and Surgical Biotechnology in 2011. In 2021, he earned a Doctorate in Medicine (MD) from the University of Bristol (UK).
Dr. Bruno’s areas of interest include coronary cardiac surgery, minimally invasive cardiac surgery, mitral valve repairs, and beating heart myocardial revascularization. He is an expert in cardiovascular translational research and clinical research in cardiac surgery.
He has authored over 130 scientific publications, including prospective and retrospective studies, editorials, and book chapters. He is an Associate Statistical Editor for The Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, the leading journal in the field of cardiac surgery, and an Associate Editor for Frontiers in Cardiovascular Medicine. Additionally, he reviews for major international cardiothoracic and cardiology journals and regularly participates in industry conferences.
