Новый госпиталь объединяет в одном учреждении Istituto Ortopedico Galeazzi, занимающий первое место по количеству ортопедических операций и выполняющий 75% всех ревизионных (повторных) ортопедических операций в Италии, и Istituto Clinico Sant'Ambrogio, который является примером передового медицинского опыта в сфере сердечно-сосудистых заболеваний, а также диагностики и лечения ожирения.

Новый Ospedale Galeazzi - Sant’Ambrogio (OGSA) имеет аккредитацию Итальянской национальной системы здравоохранения (SSN), а также включен в категорию IRCCS (Scientific Institute for Research and Healthcare), которая присуждается Министерством Здравоохранения Италии только тем медицинским центрам, которые занимаются научной работой и разработкой новых методов лечения. Бывший Галеацци был удостоен этого звания в 2006 году за изучение заболеваний опорно-двигательного аппарата. Бывший Istituto Clinico Sant'Ambrogio привносит в новый госпиталь OGSA один из главных итальянских центров лечения сердечно-сосудистых патологий, где каждый год проводится более 500 операций на сердце и 2 500 интервенционных кардиологических процедур. Кардиоторакальный центр отличается передовым опытом в области малоинвазивной кардиохирургии и чрескожной замены аортального клапана. Более того, бывший Istituto Clinico Sant'Ambrogio занимает первое место среди больниц Ломбардии по лечению острого инфаркта миокарда.
