Caterina Albizzini Ohin

Dr. Caterina Albizzini Ohin is an orthopedic surgeon at the Shoulder Surgery Unit at IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi – Sant’Ambrogio, under the direction of Prof. Ettore Taverna. She also collaborates with Palazzo della Salute Wellness Clinic.
She graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 2015 from the University of Florence and specialized in Orthopedics and Traumatology in 2020 at the University of Milan. Dr. Albizzini Ohin is also part of the Medical Staff of the Italian Volleyball Federation.
She focuses on the treatment of shoulder pathologies of both degenerative and traumatic nature, in adults and adolescents, specifically:
- Shoulder instability
- Rotator cuff tendon injuries
- Glenohumeral and acromioclavicular arthritis
- Adhesive capsulitis
Among the surgical procedures she performs:
- Arthroscopy: for rotator cuff tendon injuries, subacromial impingement, acromioclavicular arthritis, adhesive capsulitis, and shoulder instability.
- Open surgical treatment: for recurrent shoulder dislocations (Latarjet procedure), glenohumeral arthritis with prosthetic replacement, both anatomical and reverse.
In her scientific activity, her most recent publication is: “CT-scan evaluation of osteointegration and osteolysis in different graft types and surgical techniques for the treatment of shoulder instability.”
She actively participates in national and international conferences in her field.
