Emanuele Micaglio

Dr. Emanuele Micaglio is a geneticist, head of ambulatorio di Cardio Genetica, working in the Department of Arrhythmology and Clinical Electrophysiology of Policlinico San Donato under the supervision of Professor Carlo Pappone.
In 2011, he graduated from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Ferrara, and in 2016 he received a specialization in medical genetics at the University of Padua.
After graduation, he devoted himself to the genetics of cardiac arrhythmias, as well as diagnostic and research activities. Already at the time of obtaining his specialization, Dr. Micaglio studied in Italy (Bologna, Verona) and abroad (Barcelona, Stockholm and Zurich), paying special attention to the clinical application of NGS (Next generation sequencing) technology and the treatment of cardiac genetic diseases.
Dr. Micaglio has also gained special experience in the field of metabolism (obesity and hypercholesterolemia) and is still collaborating with an American research group specializing in this field.
