Dr. Francesca Farina is a hematologist in the Department of Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplantation at the IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele, headed by Professor Fabio Ciceri.

After graduating with honors from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Milan Bicocca in 2009, she majored with honors in hematology at the University of Pavia in 2016.

From a clinical point of view, Dr. Farina helps hematological patients in the diagnosis and treatment in the day hospital of the department, in particular patients with multiple myeloma and other lymphoproliferative diseases, leukemia and myelodysplasia, non-oncological hematologists.

She also monitors patients who have undergone autologous and allogeneic bone marrow transplantation in their short- and long-term follow-up period, and with the help of a multidisciplinary approach manages various aspects related to the transplantation procedure.

As a researcher, Dr. Farina deals with the clinical management and side effects of patients in experimental studies of phase 1-3. She is currently a co-investigator of numerous trials, including Phase 1 with innovative molecules, CART or gene therapy.

The doctor is also a member of the EHA (European Hematology Association), FIL (Italian Lymphoma Organization) and SEIFEM (Epidemiological Surveillance of fungal infections in malignant hemopathies).

It is part of the EHA group for infections in hematology - Infection Disease SWG.

He is the author and co-author of publications in national and international scientific journals. Constantly participates in national and international industry courses and conferences.
