Luca Testa

Dr. Luca Testa is a cardiologist in the Clinical Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology and Coronary Intensive Care units directed by Dr. Francesco Bedogni, where he is responsible for Coronary Interventional Care and Clinical Research.
Since 2019, he has held a National Scientific Habilitation as Professor of I Level (Full Professor) in Cardiovascular and Respiratory Diseases. Since 2020, he is Adjunct Professor of Cardiology at the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in Milan.
He has carried out the period of Fellowship at the John Radcliffe Hospital, the hospital center of the University of Oxford (UK), and, since 2008, he has exercised his clinical and scientific activity at the Istituto Clinico Sant'Ambrogio in Milan.
At Policlinico San Donato, since 2015, Dr. Testa focuses on cardiac, coronary and valve diseases and treatments, specifically:
- acute coronary syndromes
- coronary angioplasty
- aortic stenosis
- patent foramen ovale (PFO)
- peripheral vascular pathology
- carotid stenosis
- stenosis of lower limb arteries
- coronary anomalies
Dr. Testa is a member of four study groups of the European Society of Cardiology: Valvular Heart Disease, Thrombosis, Stroke, and Coronary Intervention.
He has significant scientific activity, focused primarily on coronary stents and aortic bioprostheses.
He serves as a scientific reviewer for leading journals in the field, such as Circulation and the Journal of the American College of Cardiology. He is a member of the Editorial Board for Eurointervention (Europe Edition) and Cardiovascular Revascularization Medicine (Elsevier Edition). He is also an academic editor for the journal PLOS One. Additionally, he serves as an external scientific advisor for the European Research Council, the Swiss National Science Foundation, the Polish National Science Center, and La Sapienza University in Rome.
