Patrizia Katia Zucchinelli

Dr. Patrizia Katia Zucchinelli is an oncologist at the Oncology Medicine Unit and Oncology Day Hospital of IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele, led by Professor Stefano Cascinu, where she is part of the breast cancer pathology team.

She graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan in 1988 and specialized in Medical Oncology at the same university in 1992. For several years, she served as an Associate Researcher at the National Cancer Institute, focusing on the treatment of adult solid tumors.

Since 1997, Dr. Zucchinelli has been an Associate Researcher, and since 2002, a Medical Director at IRCCS San Raffaele, where her clinical practice centers on the treatment of breast cancer. Today, her work focuses on the diagnosis, therapy, and follow-up of both early-stage and advanced breast cancer, with a special interest in the multidisciplinary approach of the Breast Unit. She also coordinates the Multidisciplinary Meeting for case discussions within the unit.

Dr. Zucchinelli is the designated reference for breast cancer associated with pregnancy and is involved in clinical research studies on innovative therapies for breast cancer. Additionally, she serves as the Quality Coordinator for the Breast Unit at Ospedale San Raffaele and oversees the Breast Unit's indicators within the Comprehensive Cancer Center.
