Patrizia Rovere Querini

السيرة الذاتية

Professor Patrizia Rovere Querini is the Head of the General Medicine Unit with Specialist Orientation and the Continuity of Care Unit at IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele. She is also an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University and the Head of the Innate Immunity and Tissue Remodeling Laboratory at IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele.

In 1994, she received the degree of Doctor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan; in 2000 she received the degree of Doctor of Philosophy, awarded in collaboration with the Open University (London) and the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University (Milan). In 2002, she received a specialization in allergology and clinical immunology at the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University.

Professor Rovere Querini is engaged in outpatient activities in the field of internal medicine, clinical immunology, pregnancy immunology and rheumatology. She is the head physician of the outpatient clinic Autoimmunità e Gravidanza, managed in cooperation with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the Clinica delle Miositi infiammatorie idiopatiche in cooperation with the Department of Neurology. She also collaborates with the Fertility Science Center on the topic of multiple abortions.

Her main research interests concern the role of cell death in the pathogenesis of systemic connectivitis and vasculitis, as well as the role of innate immunity in the mechanisms of tissue damage and repair, with special attention to muscle tissue in idiopathic inflammatory myositis and to the placenta as a target organ in the main complications of pregnancy. She is also interested in the regulation of leukocyte activation in vitro and in vivo, focusing on the molecular pathways that determine the functional capacity and apoptosis susceptibility of human dendritic cells and T-lymphocytes.

She is the author and co-author of 206 publications in industry scientific journals and book chapters. Her Hirsch Index is 55. She constantly participates in national and international industry congresses.
