Alvise Saracco
Biography
Dr. Alvise Saracco is an orthopedic surgeon in the Department of Minimally Invasive and Robotic Prosthetic Surgery of Hip and Knee at Ospedale San Raffaele, Milan, directed by Dr. Francesco Verde.
After graduating cum laude in Medicine from the University of Trieste, he specialized with honors in Orthopedics and Traumatology.
Dr. Saracco held Fellowship at the Centre de l'Arthrose in Bordeaux in 2019 to explore the innovative concept of kinematic alignment in hip and knee prosthetic surgery using EOS system and Ortho Pilot.
In 2018, he was the first Italian surgeon to take part in the ceramic resurfacing hip project, which earned him an honorary research contract with Imperial College in London. He actively collaborates in scientific research with the Centre de l'Arthrose in Bordeaux.
To date, he is involved in performing with minimally invasive technique and possible robotic assistance single or bilateral simultaneous hip prosthesis implants, hip revisions, simultaneous hip and knee prostheses, single or bilateral simultaneous medial or lateral monocompartmental knee prostheses, medial and lateral monocompartmental knee prostheses (bimonocompartmental prostheses) monocompartmental prostheses with simultaneous anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, patellofemoral prostheses isolated or associated with monocompartmental prostheses, total knee prostheses with preservation of both cruciate or posterior cruciate (CR) or sacrifice of both cruciate (PS) single or bilateral simultaneous, revision knee prostheses, knee arthroscopy for meniscal pathology and ligament reconstruction.
