Davide Bona

Biography

Prof. Davide Bona is the head of the General Surgery Department at the IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi - Sant’Ambrogio and collaborates with Palazzo della Salute Wellness Clinic and Casa di Cura La Madonnina, in Milan. He is Associate Professor of General Surgery at the University of Milan.

After graduating in Medicine and Surgery from the State University of Milan (1994), he specialized in Digestive Surgery and Surgical Digestive Endoscopy in 2001.

His areas of expertise are diverse. He is involved in gastroenterologic, oncologic and functional general surgery, laparoscopic mininvasive and thoracoscopic surgery. Prof. Bona also deals with diagnostic and operative endoscopy.

Prof. Davide Bona performs the following surgeries with minimally invasive laparoscopic access: gastroresections and gastrectomies, esophagectomies, anterior resections of the rectum, right and left hemicolectomies, antireflux plastics by Toupet and Nissen, extramucosal myotomies by Heller, videolaparoscopic and thoracoscopic diverticulectomies, cholecystectomies, primitive abdominal wall hernias and laparoceles, appendicectomies.

He is member of the Editorial Board of the internationally relevant scientific journal Hernia, The World Journal of Hernia and Abdominal Wall Surgery.

He is author of numerous scientific articles in national and international journals and member of the Italian Society of Surgery (SIC), the Italian Society of Endoscopic Surgery and New Technologies (SICE) and the European Association for Endoscopic Surgery (EAES).
