Biography
Dr. Giovanna Petrella is the Director of the Supportive Therapies and Continuity of Care Program for oncology patients at the IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele.
In 1982, after graduating from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Milan, in 1985 at the same university she specialized in diabetology and metabolic diseases.
Since 1986, he has been conducting outpatient activities in the field of diabetology and ward activities in the field of internal diseases.
Since 2003, Dr. Petrella's clinical activity has focused on patients with oncological diseases, with the development of special skills in the field of diabetes and internal diseases associated with complications arising from oncological diseases. In fact, it also cooperates with the departments of Pancreatic surgery, general surgery and emergency surgery, gynecology, Orthopedics and Hematology.
As a researcher, Dr. Petrella is an expert in the field of alternative insulin injection systems. He is the author and co-author of numerous publications in industry scientific journals and book chapters. She constantly participates in industry national and international congresses.
