Luca Ottaviano
السيرة الذاتية
Dr. Luca Ottaviano is a cardiologist and arrhythmologist at the Department of Clinical Electrophysiology and Electrostimulation at the Ospedale Galeazzi-Sant'Ambrogio. He also collaborates with Palazzo della Salute in Milan.
He graduated from the University of Naples Federico II in 1999 with a degree in Medicine and Surgery, where in 2004 he received his specialization in cardiology with honors. During training, he attended Electrostimulation and Electrophysiology unit of the Department of Cardiology at the University of Brescia. In 2007, he worked at Prof. Carlo Pappone's Department of Arrhythmology at the Policlinico San Donato.
Dr. Ottaviano has been one of the first users of the cryo-balloon for ablation of atrial fibrillation in 2010. He is currently one of the leading Italian and European experts in subcutaneous defibrillator implantation.
Specifically, he deals with interventional procedures related to arrhythmology such as:
- implantation of pacemakers and defibrillators;
- implantation of biventricular devices;
- endocavitary electrophysiological studies;
- radiofrequency ablations;
- cryoablations of supraventricular arrhythmias;
- atrial fibrillation including with 3D systems;
- device extractions and related leads;
- subcutaneous defibrillator implantation.
He carries out outpatient activities, arrhythmological examinations and follow-up of patients with pacemakers and ICDs (Subcutaneous Implanted Defibrillators).
He is a lecturer for theoretical and practical courses in electrophysiology and cardiostimulation and participates in scientific research protocols in the field of arrhythmology.
Dr. Ottaviano is author and co-authore of numerous articles in national and international journals. He has participated in numerous national and international conferences.
