Dr. Massimo Mantica is head of the Arrhythmia and Cardiac Electrophysiology Unit at the Ospedale Galeazzi-Sant'Ambrogio and collaborates with Palazzo della Salute in Milan, Italy.
He is a lecturer at the second-level Master's Degree program in electrophysiology and cardiostimulation at the University of Insubria.
After graduating in 1988 in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan, he specialized in Cardiology at the same university.
As an interventional cardiologist, he performs more than 200 transcatheter thermal ablations and cryoablations per year as the leading surgeon. This includes all forms of arrhythmia, as well as pulmonary vein isolation for atrial fibrillation therapy with transseptal catheterization.
On the other hand, implants of pacemakers (single-chamber and biventricular), leadless pacemakers, and subcutaneous defibrillators exceed the threshold of 100 per year. Dr. Mantica is a consultant for electrophysiology procedures at public and private hospitals throughout Italy and has authored numerous scientific articles.
