Pietro Ascheri

Dr. Pietro Ascheri is a bariatric surgeon at the National Institute for the Treatment of Obesity (INCO) at IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi-Sant'Ambrogio in Milan.

He graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 2017 from the University of Genoa with a score of 110/110 cum laude and specialized in General Surgery in 2023 from the University of Milan-Bicocca with a score of 70/70 cum laude.

During his specialist training, Dr. Ascheri dedicated himself to bariatric and metabolic surgery, training at the National Institute for the Treatment of Obesity (INCO) and through a clinical and research observership at the IRCAD Institute in Strasbourg.

Dr. Ascheri has specialized training in general surgery, with particular experience in the surgical treatment of obesity and related conditions.

Since 2024, he has been a member of the Italian Society of Obesity Surgery and Metabolic Diseases (S.I.C.O.B) and is also a member of the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders (IFSO).

He co-authors scientific articles related to General Surgery and participates in national and international conferences in the field.
