Chiara Notaristefano

Dr. Chiara Notaristefano is a gastroenterologist in the Gastroenterology Department of the IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele, headed by Professor Pier Alberto Testoni.
After graduating in 2005 from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Milan Bicocca, she specialized in Gastroenterology at the University of Vita Salute San Rafael in 2014.

From a clinical point of view, Dr. Notaristefano is engaged in activities in the field of endoscopy, performing diagnostic and operative esophagogastroduodenoscopy, diagnostic and operative colonoscopy, ECG and appropriate treatment, installation of prostheses, emergency endoscopic examinations, enteroscopy with a video capsule.

In addition, the doctor conducts outpatient appointments in the field of general gastroenterology and chronic inflammatory bowel diseases, and also treats them in interdisciplinary cooperation with all involved specialists. Finally, she collaborates with the multidisciplinary group GASTROintestinal PERsonalized Medicine (GastrPerMe), which deals with the treatment of hereditary tumors of the digestive system, under the guidance of Professor Giulia Martina Cavestro.

As a researcher, the doctor is mainly engaged in diagnostic and operative endoscopy, chronic inflammatory bowel diseases, capsule enteroscopy and hereditary tumors of the digestive system.
