Consuelo Corti

Dr. Consuelo Corti is the head of the single functional Department of the Day Hospital/MAC/Outpatient Department of Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplantation of the IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele, under the supervision of Professor Fabio Ciceri.

After graduating from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the Milan State University in 1986, since 1988 she has specialized in internal diseases, and in 1996 she received a diploma in clinical oncology at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Paris-South. For 15 years she worked as a therapist (in the Department of Internal Diseases and in the emergency department of San Raffaele) at the Department of Internal Diseases of the Ospedale San Raffaele in Milan under the supervision of Professor Claudio Rugarli and for about three years as a hematologist at the Gustave Russi Institute in Paris under the guidance of Professor Carde, dealing with hematological patients and patients included in cancer research protocols.

Works with hematological patients throughout their treatment, in particular with patients suffering from hematological and oncohematological diseases, including patients with bone marrow transplantation programs, autologous and allogeneic, with follow-up, patients included in research protocols (including phase I studies), and patients with immune effector cell therapy programs (CAR T and gene therapy).

As a researcher, she mainly deals with infectious problems and patients suffering from chronic lymphatic leukemia.

For many years she has been a member of EBMT (European Blood and Bone Marrow Transplantation Group) and GITMO (Italian Bone Marrow Transplantation Group). Since 2007, she has been a quality manager in the Department of Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplantation, and since 2008 - in the Ospedale San Raffaele, dealing with the stem cell program, which includes the adult and pediatric clinical department, the Department of bone marrow and peripheral tissue collection, as well as the Tissue Institute, with obtaining in 2007 the ISO 9001 certificate, and in 2014 the JACIE accreditation for outstanding achievements in the field of bone marrow transplantation and the National Center for Transplantation and subsequent re-accreditation.

Since 2016, she has been responsible for the self-certification of the Phase I SCP department, as well as for aspects of the quality of therapy with CAR T. Since 2013, Quality inspector of Jacie and CNT/CNS. He is the author and co-author of more than thirty articles published in scientific journals. Constantly participates in national and international congresses, courses and conferences.
