Luigi Giannelli
Biography
Dr. Luigi Giannelli is cardiologist-arithmologist of the Clinical Arrhythmology and Electrophysiology Unit of IRCCS Policlinico San Donato.
He graduated in Medicine with honors from the University Vita-Salute San Raffaele in 2009, and in 2015, he specialized in Cardiovascular Diseases at the University of Ferrara.
From 2007 to 2009, he carries out the elective internship at the Department of Arrhythmology of Ospedale San Raffaele, and, from 2009 to 2015, he attends the Department of Arrhythmology directed by Prof. Carlo Pappone at Maria Cecilia Hospital in Cotignola.
He took part in training sessions at the Hospital Clinic of Barcelona, for the improvement of ablation techniques and electroanatomic mapping.
He deals with the diagnosis and treatment of the following cardiac arrhythmias:
- transcatheter ablation;
- implantation of pacemakers, defibrillators and cardiac resynchronizers, with particular interest in cardiomyopathies and arrhythmogenic syndromes;
- Brugada syndrome;
- Long QT syndrome;
- J-wave syndrome;
- Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy;
- Arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia (ARVD);
- Dilated cardiomyopathy.
He is co-author of 24 publications in the field of arrhythmology in international scientific journals.
