Stefano Brock
Biography
Dr. Stefano Brock is a neurosurgeon in the Operative Department of Spine Surgery II of the IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi - Sant'Ambrogio.
In 1989, he graduated from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Milan, where in 1994 he received his first specialization in neurology. Subsequently, in 1999, he again specialized in neurosurgery at the same university.
Since 1993, he has worked as a neurosurgeon at the Istituto Nazionale Neurologico Carlo Besta in Milan, and in 2014 he headed the Neurosurgical Operating Department of the Istituto Clinico Città Studi in Milan.
Since 2015, he has been carrying out his professional activities at the IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi - Sant'Ambrogio, first in the Department of Neurosurgery, and then in the II Department of Spine Surgery.
The activities carried out are partly in collaboration with orthopedic colleagues for the surgical activities of this operative department, which include, among other things, the correction of spinal deformities through arthrodesis operations with the implantation of pedicle screws into the vertebral bodies and the insertion of cages into the intervertebral spaces using the anterior, anterolateral and posterior approaches to the spine.
Due to his special skills in the field of neurosurgery, Dr. Brock's work is especially in demand and appreciated in surgical interventions in the cervical and lumbar spine, which require the use of an operating microscope.
