Dr. Francesca Di Vittorio is a general surgeon in the General and Emergency Surgery Unit at IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele in Milan.
She earned her degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan-Bicocca in 2016 and completed her specialization in General Surgery at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in 2024.
During her specialization, Dr. Di Vittorio gained experience across the main branches of General Surgery at Ospedale San Raffaele.
With a strong interest in emergency and trauma surgery, she spent a year with the Trauma Team at Ospedale Niguarda under Prof. Osvaldo Chiara, where she enhanced her expertise in managing polytraumatized patients.
She also spent a year at the Istituto Clinico Città Studi in Milan, refining her skills in Day and Week Surgery techniques, including hernia repair, treatment of lipomas, gallstone disease, nevi, and dermatofibromas, as well as managing proctological conditions.
Dr. Di Vittorio specializes in treating acute surgical conditions that present as emergencies or urgencies, along with managing gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, pancreatic, and abdominal wall pathologies.
Her areas of interest include trauma patient management, emergency surgery, abdominal wall surgery, and the efficient outpatient management of surgical conditions. These include the removal of cutaneous lesions (seborrheic keratosis, nevi, small angiomas, dermatofibromas, superficial granulomas), skin biopsies, foreign body removal, abscess incision and drainage, and excision of sebaceous cysts.
