Dr. Giandomenico Disabato is a Cardiologist at the Multimodal Cardiac Imaging Service of the IRCCS Policlinico San Donato in Milan.
He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Bari in 2018. In 2022, he completed his specialization in Cardiovascular Diseases at the University of Pavia.
During his undergraduate studies, he participated in the Erasmus program at Comenius University in Bratislava (SK). He also undertook training at the Turku PET Center (University of Turku, Finland) under the direction of Prof. J. Knuuti, focusing on ischemic heart disease through the combination of CT, MRI, and PET.
During his specialization, Dr. Disabato trained at IRCCS Policlinico San Matteo in Pavia, the Molecular Cardiology Center of ICS Maugeri in Pavia under the direction of Prof. Silvia G. Priori, and the Multimodal Cardiac Imaging Unit at IRCCS Policlinico San Donato under Dr. Massimo Lombardi.
Dr. Disabato performs advanced non-invasive cardiac diagnostics in the Multimodal Cardiac Imaging Unit. He is specifically involved in the acquisition and interpretation of cardiac magnetic resonance imaging at rest and under stress, with a particular interest in ischemic heart disease and cardiomyopathies.
He is also engaged in research focused on ischemic heart disease and cardiomyopathies through the use of multimodal cardiac imaging techniques.
