Dr. Elena Orsenigo is a General Surgeon at the Unit of General and Emergency Surgery, led by Professor Michele Carlucci.
She earned her degree in Medicine and Surgery in 1984 and completed her specialization in General Surgery in 1989.
Dr. Orsenigo has served as a visiting surgeon at the University of Tennessee, the University of Maryland, the University of Munich, and the University of Vienna.
Her areas of expertise include general surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, proctology, hernia surgery, laparoscopic surgery, and gallbladder surgery.
She holds a national academic qualification for first and second-level professorships in general surgery.
