Dr. Pamela Gatto is an interventional cardiologist and a consultant at the Heart Valve Center within the Cardiac Surgery Unit led by Professor Francesco Maisano at IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele in Milan.

She graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan in 2008 and specialized in Cardiovascular Diseases at the same institution in 2015.

Her education has been supplemented with international experience. After her specialist studies in Milan, she joined the interventional cardiology training program at the University Hospital of Toulouse, France. She then completed advanced training at the Interventional Cardiology Unit of Clinique Pasteur in Toulouse and obtained a university diploma in Interventional Cardiology from the University of Paris Descartes.

Dr. Gatto also achieved a higher academic certification in percutaneous techniques for mitral and tricuspid valve treatment from the University of Zurich in Switzerland.

Her clinical work was primarily abroad, initially as an assistant at the Princess Grace Hospital Center in Monaco and later as a senior medical officer at the University Hospital of Nice on the French Riviera, where she developed expertise in cardiac hemodynamics, focusing on the treatment of congenital and acquired structural heart diseases, especially valve disorders.

Upon returning to Italy, she served as a consultant for the Italian Air Force at the Aerospace Medicine Institute in Milan, where she gained and refined specific skills in studying and treating flight-related cardiac pathology.

Currently, her clinical practice focuses on diagnosing and treating coronary and valvular heart disease using percutaneous interventional techniques.
