Andrea Casadei Giardini
Biography
Dr. Andrea Casadei Gardini is Head of Liver cancer division at the Oncology unit of the San Raffaele Research Hospital and Senior researcher at the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University (UniSR) in Milan, Italy.
Dr. Casadei Gardini graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Bologna (Alma Mater Studiorum - Università di Bologna) in 2007. In 2012 he completed a Specialization program in oncology at the University of Ferrara (Università degli Studi di Ferrara). Also, he completed an internship under the mentorship of Prof. Sangro at the Clinica Universidad De Navarra in Pamplona, Spain.
His main area of clinical interest is treatment of tumors of the gastrointestinal tract and of liver’ neoplasms (cholangiocarcinoma and hepatocellular carcinoma). Dr. Casadei Gardini is an extensor of hepatocellular Guidelines from 2017.
Dr. Casadei Gardini is author of over 150 experimental and clinical articles on hepatocellular carcinoma and cholangiocarcinoma [H index (Scopus): 22]. He constantly participates in national and international congresses of the field.
