Biography

Dr. Andreea Alina Andronache is a pediatric cardiologist at the Department of Pediatric Cardiac Surgery of IRCCS Policlinico San Donato.

She graduated in 2010 with a degree in General Medicine from the UMF "Carol Davila" University of Medicine in Bucharest, Romania, which was recognized by the Italian Ministry of Health on March 2, 2015.

In 2014, she completed her specialization in Pediatrics at UMF "Carol Davila" University in Bucharest, Romania, recognized by the Italian Ministry of Health on July 31, 2015.

Since January 2017, she has been a pediatric cardiologist at IRCCS Policlinico San Donato, where she is responsible for the diagnosis, inpatient management, postoperative monitoring, and outpatient follow-up of children and adults with congenital heart disease.

In 2022, she obtained the EACVI/AEPC Certification in Congenital Heart Disease Echocardiography.

Dr. Andronache has an extensive range of experiences:

  • from May 2016 to November 2016, she was a neonatologist in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Poliambulanza Foundation in Brescia.
  • from November 2013 to September 2014, and again from January 2015 to December 2015, she was a Clinical Fellow in the Pediatric Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit at IRCCS Policlinico San Donato.
  • since January 2015, she has served as a pediatric cardiac surgery intensive care physician during international missions in Bucharest, Tunis, and Cairo.
  • in July 2011, she completed a Pediatric Cardiology Internship at the Schneider Children’s Medical Center of Israel in Tel Aviv, Israel.

She has extensive experience in echocardiographic evaluation of congenital heart diseases, from the simplest to the most complex lesions, in newborns, children, and adults.

Dr. Andronache always prioritizes the clinical aspects of her work, particularly patient history collection, patient examination, and communication with patients and their families.

She has a particular interest in managing patients with univentricular heart conditions, from birth through adulthood.
