Emanuela Rabaiotti
Biography
Dr. Emanuela Rabaiotti is a gynecologist at the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at the IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele, headed by Professor Massimo Candiani.
After graduating with honors from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Milan in 1989, in 1993 she specialized in gynecology and obstetrics at the same university.
During the course of training, the doctor participates in various international cooperation programs with an emphasis on sanitation, for example, in the districts of Nairobi (Kenya) and Mbalmayo (Cameroon); takes advanced training courses at Charing Cross Hospital in London, the international reference center for the diagnosis and treatment of trophoblast pathology.
From a clinical point of view, Dr. Rabaiotti is an expert in the field of oncological gynecology at both the therapeutic and surgical levels. The doctor participates in an interdisciplinary group (consisting of specialists in oncology, gynecology, genetics and psychology) to monitor women with the BRCA mutation and their family members.
She also oversees pregnancy and the work of the delivery room while on duty as a shift supervisor.
Dr. Rabaiotti is also the Quality manager of the department, in which role she participated in the accreditation project for obtaining the certificate "Child-friendly Hospital" for UNICEF in Italy (accreditation received).
The doctor is also one of the founders of the SaS (Mirror of Health) project, aimed at patients undergoing cancer treatment, in order to integrate aesthetic and psychological aspects into the course of treatment.
In addition, the doctor teaches the module "Supportive Therapy in Oncology" as part of the Master's course in dermatological care and participates in the "Interfacult Center for Gender Studies" at the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University.
As a researcher, Dr. Rabaiotti participates as a co-investigator in national and international research within the MITO Group (Multicenter Italian Ovarian Research). She also participates in the European Task Force (INCIP - International Network on Cancer, Infertility and Pregnancy), which deals with the diagnosis and treatment of tumors during pregnancy. Finally, she also deals with hereditary and familial tumors (BRCA, Lynch syndrome, etc.)
Constantly participates as a speaker at national and international industry congresses.
