Giulia Battaglia
Biography
Dr. Giulia Battaglia is a neurologist in the Department of Neurology and Stroke of the IRCCS Policlinico San Donato.
In 2015, she graduated from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Milan, and in 2020 received a specialization in neurology at the University of Catania.
During her special training, she conducts research abroad at the Queen Square Institute of Neurology, University College London (UCL) and the Epilepsy Society a Chalfont St Peter (London, UK) as a researcher in the Department of Genomics, taking part in research projects in the field of genetics of epilepsy.
Over the years, Dr. Battaglia has accumulated experience in the management, diagnosis and treatment of patients with epilepsy. She also consolidated her knowledge in reading and recording basic electroencephalographic (EEG) and long day and night (VEEG) recordings. Also engaged in the diagnosis and treatment of motor disorders such as Parkinson's disease, headaches, and interpretation of instrumental tests such as magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography and nuclear medicine research (such as PET brain and DaTscan).
She is currently elected Vice President of the Young Epilepsy Section- Italia (YES-I), the youth section of the Italian Epilepsy League (LICE).
