Biography
Professor Luca Guidotti is an experimental pathologist of international renown in the field of viral hepatitis. Currently he acts in a role of Deputy Scientific Director of the IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele in Milan. Since 2017 Prof. Guidotti holds the position of Full Professor of General Pathology at the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in Milan.
Prof. Guidotti spent over 20 years as a Faculty of the Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, California, USA.His research activities have been financed by several agencies that include the National Institute of Health and the European Research Council. Prof. Luca Guidotti has been a member of numerous Study Sections at the National Institute of Health and the European Research Council for the allocation of funds to biomedical research.
Over the years, Prof. Guidotti has published his work in some of the most prestigious scientific journals such as Cell, Nature, Science, Nature Medicine, Journal of Clinical Investigation, Journal of Experimental Medicine and others.
