Luigia Brugliera
Biography
Doctor Luigia Brugliera is currently the Head of the Motor Rehabilitation Unit and the Head of the Limb Prosthesis Prescription Centre for Amputee Patients in IRCCS San Raffaele Hospital in Milan. She is the author and co-author of international scientific publications. She participates as a co-investigator in numerus clinical trials. In HSR, she works not only in the wards but also has outpatient clinics about physiatry, neurophysiatry and pain therapy.
Throughout the carrier, she is professional at musculoskeletal and pain medicine ultrasound and she is certificated for the prescription of cannabis for medical use. She is also experienced in Botulinum Toxin inoculation, gait analysis, robotic rehabilitation, neurological bladder examination and rehabilitation treatment and evaluation of dysphagia in patients with neurological disorder. She specialises in rehabilitation of orthopaedics and sports medicine.
She started her medical education in University of Catania, after the Scientific High School with full mark. Later on, she graduated with 110/110 and honour for her medical degree. She did her residency training in the University of Catania with 70/70 and honour specialised in Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine. She acquired her Master’s degree in second-level of Pain Therapy “Advanced Algology Research and another master’s degree in Antalgic Mesotherapy. She received her PhD in Neurological Science in the University of Genova. She is now the member of “Siamoc”, “Sirn” and “SIMFER”. Member of the Scientific Society of Physicians Rehabilitators Specialists Private Hospital (ARSOP).
