Matteo Uccelli
Biography
Dr. Matteo Uccelli is the referent of the Center for Obesity Surgery Policlinico San Marco.
In 2008, he graduated from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Milan, where in 2015 he received a specialization in general surgery.
In 2014, he received his Master's Degree in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery from Germany.
During his career, he has conducted various trainings and advanced courses. He also worked as a doctor at a specialized hospital in Uganda.
Since 2012 organized – under the direction of UOC Director Dr. S. Olmi – Lecturer in advanced laparoscopic surgery courses at Policlinico San Marco, dedicated to laparoscopic wall surgery (hernia and laparocele), surgery of the esophagus and stomach, colorectal surgery and laparoscopic bariatric metabolic surgery.
His main research interests include oncological surgery with a special focus on neoplasms of the upper gastrointestinal tract and colon, as well as minimally invasive and bariatric-metabolic laparoscopic surgery.
He is a member of several scientific societies and associations, of which:

He is the author and co-author of more than 30 publications, including scientific articles in national and international journals and abstracts of congresses. From year to year he improves by participating in Italian and international congresses as a speaker. He is also coordinator of the work: "Treatise on Laparoscopic Surgery – The Digestive System, Adrenals, and Obesity" Olmi S, Foschi D, Croce E. ed. Edra-Masson - 2017 (author/co-author of over 30 chapters).
