Biography

Dr. Mattia Alessio Mazzola is an orthopedic surgeon at the Orthopedics and Traumatology Unit of the IRCCS San Raffaele Hospital in Milan, directed by Professor Vincenzo Salini.

After graduating with honors from the University of Genoa in 2012, he specialized in Orthopedics and Traumatology at the same university in 2018, also with honors.

From 2019 to 2022, Dr. Mazzola served as a fixed-term university researcher (RTDA) at the University of Genoa - Department of Surgical and Integrated Diagnostic Sciences (DISC), while also working as an orthopedic medical officer at the IRCCS Policlinico San Martino Hospital in Genoa.

Dr. Mazzola specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of traumatic and degenerative diseases of the musculoskeletal system and joints, as well as sports trauma.

He performs both basic and advanced trauma surgery, hip and knee prosthetic surgery, and arthroscopic surgery of the knee, shoulder, and ankle.

His research focuses on trauma surgery, sports traumatology, prosthetic surgery, and regenerative medicine.
