Michele Zamboni
Biography
Dr. Michele Zamboni is a neurologist at the Department of Rehabilitation of Cognitive-Motor Neurological Disorders at the IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele under the supervision of Dr. Sandro Iannaccone, where he also heads the Functional Department.
After graduating from the University of Milan in Medicine and Surgery in 1991, he specialized in neuropathology at the same university in 1996.
From a clinical point of view, Dr. Zamboni mainly conducts diagnostic and rehabilitation activities for neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and frontotemporal dementia and neurocognitive disorders. He also conducts outpatient activities at the Alzheimer Disease Assessment Department in San Raffaele.
As for research activities, Dr. Zamboni participates and coordinates several international multicenter clinical trials for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease.
Among the doctor's interests are also cerebrovascular pathology and related research methods (EEG and Doppler sonography) and conducting clinical trials for a pharmacological experiment.
Dr. Zamboni is also a member of the Italian Society of Neurologists (SIN) and the Scientific Society of Rehabilitation Physicians – Private Hospital Specialists (ARSOP).
He is the author and co-author of original scientific articles published in international journals. His Hirsch Index is 7. Constantly participates in industry congresses and conferences.
