Gynecologic Oncology
Gynecologic Oncology Unit manage tumors affecting female genital system. Unit provides all clinical, surgical and systemic treatments in a multidisciplinary team of specialists experienced in the treatment of gynecological tumors.
Close collaboration between surgeons, clinical oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, radiotherapists, and psychologists allows to take a 360 degrees care of a cancer patient on her therapeutic pathway.
Continuity of cure is a strength factor for treatment of gynecological cancers. It allows the patient to be guided with care through each step pf the therapy: diagnosis and instrumental investigation for clinical staging, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and follow-up.
Gynecologic Oncology Unit of Gruppo San Donato takes care of all types of neoplasms that affect female genital system including vulva, vagina, uterus (cervix, endometrium, sarcomas), ovary and fallopian tubes, placenta (vesicular mola and chorioncarcinoma). Use of traditional, laparoscopic, and endoscopic approaches allows to guarantee creation of a fully personalized therapeutic pathway.

In 2007 ONDA (National Observatory on Women's Health) has rewarded Gynecologic Oncology Unit of Ospedale San Raffaele for offering services dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of the main female pathologies, placing women at the center of attention with the Bollino Rosa award.
