Pelvic Floor
Pelvic Floor Units is a service that takes care of men and women with functional disorders of the sexual sphere, urinary tract and intestine. It consists of a group of specialists from different disciplines involved in the management of male and female pelvic disorders who over the years have implemented a pathway of collegial discussion of the most complex clinical cases to define the most suitable solution for each patient.
The initial evaluation is carried out by a doctor of the Pelvic Unit who indicates, if necessary, the intervention of other specialists: neurologist, gynecologist, urologist, gastroenterologist, physiatrist, or proctologist. These physicians were selected from those who, in addition to the general skills of their specialist branch, have developed specific skills on the pathophysiology of functional alterations of the pelvic floor with experience in the related diagnostic methods such as urodynamic examination, anorectal manometry, investigations neurophysiological etc.
