Catia Pelosi
Biography
Dr. Catia Pelosi is the Head of Specialist Rehabilitation Department at IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi - Sant'Ambrogio.
In 1990, she graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan with honors. Five years later, she specialized in Surgery of the Digestive System and Surgical Digestive Endoscopy, and, in 2003, she obtained a second specialization in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, again with honors.
Since 1994, she has been employed at Istituto Ortopedico Galeazzi (since 2022, IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi - Sant'Ambrogio). From 2006 to 2009, she was in charge of the Functional Unit of Prosthetic Rehabilitation of the Knee Department II. Since 2018, he has been a professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Podiatry degree program at the University of Milan.
Her activity is focused on the clinical-rehabilitation management of degenerative, inflammatory and post-traumatic musculoskeletal and locomotor pathologies as well as disabilities resulting from surgery or neurological problems. She deals with the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of osteo-articular pathologies focusing on maintaining patient autonomy.
She participates as a speaker at national and international congresses and collaborates with the most important orthopaedic journals in the sector. Since 2014, he has been a Founding Member of the Association of Physician Rehabilitation Specialists of Private Hospitals.
